It was a beautiful fall day. Cool air, bright sun. And it had been raining the past week. It was as if all the mushrooms were finally glad to get their chance to show their stuff. About 20 people showed up and after gathering mushrooms, the table was filled with colorful specimens.

This Amanita was in beautiful shape, poking up from the leaf litter.

This Mycena was caught poking out through a hole in a rotten log.
