Favolus alveolaris

Description:

A striking pore surface of large, usually hexagonal pores, is found when one turns over this mushroom. The surface is usually a toasty golden color with small scales. Compare to Polyporus arcularius which has a clearly defined stem and is darker in colors. P. mori can often be found with little or no stem.
