Boltus subvelutipes Peck

Other names:

Description:

A striking looking mushroom, in reds, oranges and yellows. And it readily bruises a dark blue on cap, stem or pores, when bruised. The The stem is not reticulate, so it really can't be confused with B. frostii. But there is always a red, thin fuzz at the extreme end of the stem, near the ground. The orange-red pores compare to the more reddish-cinnamon colored cap.
