Amanita ceciliae (Berkeley & Broome) Bas.

Other names:

Amanita inaurata Secr.
Amanita strangulata

Description:

Gray patches on cap. Brown cap color. Striations on margin. No partial veil/annulus. Volva is easy to miss, as it is collapsed against stem, but usually leaves gray colored materila that may look like the remnants of the edge of the volval sack. No appreciable swelling at base - little or no volval bulb. Stem is white with brownish tints on lower portion.
